A Tribute to Nana Patekar

I am writing this post to give a big applause for an ardent actor of bollywood and marathi industry who is none other than the great Nana patekar who was born on 1st January 1951 in Maharashtra. From making his debut in Hindi films in the year 1978 and thereafter, he is the one who played every role with full commitment as if in reality. Believe me or not but if at any point of time you want to refute me back, just go and see his performance in wajood after which you all will have no point to contradict the very obvious. I was really mesmerized by his performance in this movie where he performed the character of a drama artist named Malhar(Name of his only son is also Malhar :D). Nevertheless to say, i feel this movie truly depicts his potential and should be watched by everyone.

While many can articulate the fact by referring that nana can only do serious roles, nana has set a great example by denying this thought in the movie welcome where he played a comic role which was applauded by everyone.

He has also done playback singing in some movies like Yeshwantaanch and wajood.

Coming to his greatest films, i would like to cite one of the biggest hit of 1994 Krantiveer. Well who can forget the laugh and then a harsh dialogue delivered at the end of the movie by nana to all the people who came to see the capital punishment given to him(aa gaye meri maut ka tamasha dekhne :D). Below is the remembrance for the same. I hope you would have remembered everything from this image :D

For his outstanding role in this film, he won the film-fare award and the star screen awards in the best actor category. The revolutionary speech given by nana was not only confined to film level but it also holds true fact for a matter of concern which everyone of us must be aware of.

Just in the same year 1994, there was one more solid performance by nana in the movie Tirangaa where he played the role of inspector waagle(Pehle laat fir Baat :D). Below is excerpt from this movie.

Some of the other unforgettable movies are - Agnisakshi,Tirangaa(Inspector Waagle),Ab tak chhappan,Shakti,Yeshwant(Ek macchar aadmi ko hijda bana deta hai :D),Taxi No. 9211 and Aanch. He is also a recipient of Padma Shri award for his always brilliant performances to the film industry.

He is the only actor in the indian cinema history to win filmfare awards in all three categories including best actor, best supporting actor and best villian. Not to forget is the fact that he is also an honorary captain in the Indian army and was trained by the Indian film, for his role of army officer in the film Prahaar: The final attack

Besides his acting career, he is a very generous kind man who always donates to the poor and needy people. He has got a eccentric style which has created a unique identity for him making him a star whose style cannot be compared to any other actor.

From my side, i have only word for nana and which is respect because he truly deserved it.May you live as long as you wish and love as long as you live.

Dilemma After Engineering

I'm writing a post for all the people who after finishing their engineering found themselves in a path from where it seems a bit difficult task to judge as to what the fruitful step is waiting for them. Most probably the question arises not because it's their plight in facing the roaring competition round the corner but it's more because of not comprehending as to where they actually want to go in.Most of us including me just try to follow the golden path laid down before us.As a result comes a feel of being in a dispersed situation as in it is always not good to be forthwith.Nobody wants to be in such a susceptible situation.Even parents and close friends will come up of no use as in it is the ultimate decision of your's.The major dilemma which the Students face is deciding in between the Private job and Government Job.Now both has their pros and cons separately which i think we all are already aware of.

The consequence of the dilemma sometimes inadvertently land us in a place about which we never took care off but that just happened because of our wrong choice. The majority of the students face problem in deciding among these fields after engineering:-

  1. Higher Studies:-  The most sought out field for the Engineers which they thing can make their life valuable. They either try for MS or MBA and that too by having an eye on the much coveted exams like CAT and GRE.
  2. Private Job:- This is the step which around >70% of the students prefer among other options as soon as they finish their engineering. The decision opts out to be well and the best till we are in a position and place where environment is supportable and the work load is also manageable but it becomes a mess as soon as we land up in a place where nothing is according to our wish and thereafter starts the dilemma as in to either switch in some other private company or else to leave the entire private sector and start trying for government jobs as in at-least there we have some job security and less overhead.
  3. Government Job:- The second most alluring option to choose for the graduates. The only drawback is that you need a solid amount of time for preparation as in though being easy, it is the most competitive job to crack now a days. This type of decision is also the best if we are able to clear any government exam within some manageable time. But if it takes an ample amount of time with no good results, believe me folks,it will become a curse for some of the people who will just give up with their studies and will take up some wrong step.
My Thought :-  I am not going to raise any rebuke against any one of them but my only advice to the students is that you must land up in a place where you always wanted to be.Don't just go somewhere by hearing from other's,it's already high time for you to ponder on your own behalf.Judge your priorities in life and then choose a wise decision.I know it's not a so easy task for some people as in not everybody can be perspicacious but believe me this is how it is.On a high note, make your decision as soon as you are out of your college instead of trying futile attempts or better if in beforehand by your placid mind. Learn whatever you finds interest in, nobody is going to forbid for no reason.Once you enter in some job which you feel like a not challenging or kind of a boorish and tensed ,remember it's not always so easy to quit the job as per our need. The company will decide how you need to go out of the company and not you(although applicable only if you need the company experience letter :P)
